New 'C' Frame Design for Model 70/75

The Model 75-C fulfills a need for a “C-frame” machine that can accommodate parts that have attached lengths of cable or tubing in a standard style vertical clamp, horizontal injection machine.
This machine has been designed to allow for both a “side to side” and an “in and out” shuttle.
The machine takes advantage of our latest software, an enhanced touch screen, and utilizes our standard 2 ounce injection assembly.

New Screw Type Machine - 55P |
| |

The Model 55P was born by the customer need to have a machine that quickly changes recipe settings to accommodate a new part (mold) and have this accomplished by any level of operator! Assuming you are running the same material this machine allows the operator to select a part name (number) and the machine quickly responds to the volume and pressures required to make a good part.
This machine varies from the standard Model 55 as it has incorporated a PLC control, Touch Screen interface, a potentiometer based feedback for shot size and a proportional valve for programmable pressure control.
The Recipe function allows for unlimited recipes in storage at any one time and the ability to swap CF (compact flash) cards for unlimited recipe storage.
Boost, Injection and Packing Pressures are another feature of this machine. The Boost pressure allows the operator to have an operator defined initial percentage of the shot at a pressure different than an operator defined Injection Pressure. The Packing pressure allows the operator to apply a third pressure for a set period of time to “pack out” the mold to accommodate for mold volume variances and material shrinkage. The operator also defines the Packing volume to insure that during recovery enough material is loaded to accommodate and packing volume variances.
The machine has advanced diagnostics, ability to lock operator “out” of making changes, trending data and the ability to “recover” either after the last shot or as the first step in the “new” mold cycle.

Model 55E-1
Miniature Plastic Molding is pleased to introduce the latest development for our line of Mini-Jector Injection Molding Machines. This is the 1-oz. electric servo-driven Model 55E-1. This machine is used for precision molding, which we define as the ability to perform repeatable molding within 1/100th of a gram. This unique machine is completely electric, with all axes being servo motor-driven and controlled. The basis of the Model 55E-1 is a servo system that controls both the screw position and the plasticizing pressure. The high-quality Mitsubishi "Q" platform is the basis of the machine and provides "state of the art" servo control. The machine utilizes the PLC for more than just precise control - we also offer a 5-step injection profile, the ability to store 30 recipes, and the ability to capture mold data and save it with a part or test specimen. Some additional benefits of the electric machine are its ultra-quiet operation, its ability to mold a maximum-area part because clamp tonnage becomes less of a success factor, and its built-in diagnostics, which keep operators productive and happy. If you are molding an intricate or critical part (such as a medical application) or are using an expensive, exotic polymer material, then consider the Mini-Jector Model 55E-1.

Seismic Cable Repair |
Mini-Jector Models 45-C and 50-C were designed to allow the operator to over-mold a cable without passing the cable through the machine, making them ideal for seismic cable repair. The Model 45-C can operate with a compressed air source and requires 110 V, single phase, 60 Hz power. It is also available in 220 V, 50 Hz for international applications. Likewise the Model 50-C, with its self-contained hydraulic power unit, can operate on 50 or 60 Hz, 220V single or three-phase power. The operation of either model is very simple, as the cable is placed in the mold at the point requiring repair. The cable is put into the C-Frame opening, and the mold and cable slide into position for molding. The operator then turns a switch, and the machine cycles through the molding process. After the molding process is complete, the operator slides the mold out of the machine and removes the cable from the "V mold" halves. The picture on the left shows an example of a cable over-molded using our seismic cable repair mold. The picture on the right below shows the "C" frame and "V-mold" concept, using one of our mold blanks. For actual molding, the mold would have a thru cavity for the cable and an oversized cavity for the repair area.
