Many polymers require a heated mold to maintain flow characteristics. The bench-top Mini-Jectors (Models 45, 50, 55 and 55E) can all
make use of our Mold Heat Package. The concept is simple - we add a rod heater and a thermocouple (to provide temperature feedback)
to each mold half. The control box uses two digital temperature controllers, which allows the user to set the mold temperature.
The package is independent of the machine and can be added any time. The mold halves require two additional drilled holes, one for the
thermocouple probe and one for the rod heater. The placement of these holes is typically controlled by the specific mold cavity.
These control units are not powered by the machine. They are available in either 115VAC or 230 VAC single-phase, 50 or 60 Hz.
For convenience, the heaters and thermocouples typically stay attached to the mold. They plug in easily to the Mold Heat Control Box.
