The model #70 Mini-Jector answers a long-standing need for a precision semi-automatic molding machine that is both compact and user-friendly. A vertical, twin-cylinder, ten-ton hydraulic clamp with a vertical injection unit permits the use of conventional molds with a center sprue bushing, as used in horizontal machines. This configuration also allows for the use of hot runner molds.

CLAMPING UNIT

• Direct-hydraulic clamp features:
  • Clamp axis potentiometer and a settable mold-protect pressure
    • Insures machine will not cycle with obstructions in the mold
  • System of check valves lock clamp when it is closed
  • Final clamp pressure is fully adjustable
  • Hydraulic knockout supplied for on-the-fly part ejection

INJECTION UNIT

• Compact vertical injection unit features:
  • Available in 1 ounce or 2.15 ounce models
  • Efficient direct hydraulic screw drive
  • Front-loading hopper with dump tube
  • Radiused nozzle with either a straight orifice or a shut-off non-drool design
  • Selectable:

  • Return line filter with monitor connected to machine alarms
  • All pressures controlled with an electronic proportional pressure valve

CONTROL UNIT

• All sequences and parameters controlled by an extremely quick Mitsubishi PLC
• LCD "touch screen" used for operator interface
